Lipton

I was quite impressed with this tea. It really lived up to it’s name! Even though I brewed it for 4 minutes, I’d recommend only 3, and check the water isn’t boiling but is 90 degrees or less. It’s perfect on it’s own, but adding honey might be a good idea for the sweet tooth’s out there.

Backlogging. I really enjoy this tea. Its got a really good peach taste with abit of good black tea. And is pretty sweet although not sickly sweet. And easy since it comes in a bottle.

Was in our hotel room in Reykjavik. Tea has a subtle vanilla flavor, very nice!

Strong, sweet flavour that really reminds of blueberry muffins, seems pretty natural.
Slightly sweet in taste, with a lot of fruity and some biscuity notes, subtle earthy aromas from base tea in the background.

All in all it’s pretty good, but nothing extraordinary.

Standard. A good go-to if you need your fix, and cheap for the amount. But, as with everything, you get what you pay for.

Smells like roasted banana sprinkled with powdered cocoa. rather artificial but quite warming.
Tastes definitely more like pear and the cocoa fortunately turned more into chocolate. Some earthy and malty notes from the base tea are also present.

All in all it’s not a bad one. Too artificial but soothing and warming.

Picked this tea up about a year ago in NY. I have not seen it here in the midwest. I didn’t add sweetener, as the fragrance of the fruit and chamomile was so sweet, I decided it wasn’t really needed. This is a very mild tea, even after a long steep time. The scent tends toward the pineapple, yet the taste is more the chamomile. Did not really notice any licorice notes, as perceived by another reviewer. However, there’s a slight aftertaste of bubble gum, which I did not care for. There’s a little rawness at the back of my throat, but I think I may have a mild allergy to plants in the chamomile family. All in all still a decent herbal tea, good for relaxing on a summer’s night, or for adding to blends of other teas.

Regular Lipton Tea was a family staple growing up – it’s so cheap to buy and you can add anything to it. It’s hard for me to rate it – all teas in my mind are either better or worse than Lipton. So, when I saw the Lipton Instant Ice tea bags on sale last week, I didn’t hesitate to drop a couple dimes on it. Went to brew my first pitcher and realized there was no hot water required? This confused the hell out of me. I was actually pretty skeptical starting out, but one or two giant tea bags to a pitcher made perfect iced tea in 5 minutes…just add the ice, and a wedge of lemon. Who knew it could be that easy? It’s still Lipton tea, not the best, not the worst – but I’d recommend the iced tea bags solely for the convenience of it.

This is my daily tea when I’m going through financial rough patches; just because it’s cheap, and I like it better than teabags. I also drink it because it’s the only loose leaf tea I can find at the local supermarket chains.

I like Lipton’s loose leaf black tea quite a bit better than any tea I’ve had in a teabag. The flavor is similar to the regular Lipton teabags, but a little less bitter, and the flavor is a little fuller. That being said, it’s the most bitter, and tasteless loose leaf tea I’ve ever had.

The tea itself is very finely chopped; more-so than any loose leaf tea I’ve seen. Not an expert, but I think this would be called “fannings?” I only recommend this tea on the basis of it being so cheap, and it’s better than teabags.

A somewhat refreshing tea. It was hot outside in North Carolina on the day we had the pig roast. I wanted some tea, but I wanted to drink something cold. Therefore, there was some cold brewed tea at the in-laws. I didn’t add sugar to mine—as the tea was already sweet on its own—and it seemed to fit with the need of tea/wanting to be refreshed. I wouldn’t drink this again, but it was nice a fruity for a hot day.

Anyway, side story: On the day of the pig roast, my wife’s great uncle (94) passed out at the party caused by the heat. It was pretty bizarre to see people standing around, eating, and claiming that “It was his time, let’s eat….”

P.S. I’ve been busy with work and this adoption process, to the point where I haven’t had the time to write much. However, I’ll get back to it again soon…..!

Very tart and fruity. Never attempt this as a hot tea, it would given you acid burns. It is ok iced, but much too acidic (hibiscus!) for me.

Surprisingly rich and fresh smell after opening the box. After brewing the aroma is still strong, with nice notes of bergamot, solid citrus and earthy base tea in the background.
It tastes more like one could expect from Lipton. Bergamot notes are present, as well as slight citrusy ones, but the base tea is shallow, bland, without character.

Generally drinkable, but it smells much better that tastes.

Steeped, it smells like banana split but it’s more pear to taste. Despite the convincing flavour, the broth is on the watery, weak side- it’s a tactile thing which adding milk and sugar did not help at all. To sum it up, it’s a surprising yet typical flat Lipton. And the snobbishness takes over.

Bergamot and citrus aromas of equal strength, quite refreshing, slight malty character.
Bergamot is very subtle, the citrusy notes are more eminent. Slight astringency.

All in all it’s just a typical corporate product – base black tea of dubious quality, not enough aromas, not enough taste.

My husband picked up this tea to try and I have to say I love this one. It has a nice, delicate peach flavor and none of the grassiness that can sometimes come with green teas. I can see drinking this one in the evenings. Love this. I have always had a place in my tea cupboard for Lipton as I grew up drinking Lipton Iced tea made from the basic orange pekoe tea bags and to this day still love Lipton for that reason!! That aside, this peach green tea is very good, I highly recommend it!!

This was the only tea we had, but tea is tea and I needed some. The flavor is hard to pin down, but to me it tastes burnt. It’s not a good tea but some better tea is on the way, thankfully.
