15534 Tasting Notes
So i’ll preface this with a “this is my first silver needle” ever. That being said, this is a really nice tea. I’ll hold off on rating it until I’ve had a bit more experience with silver needle/plain white teas, but I really like this. I don’t get the floral notes that others have, but it is a “sweet” tea (though not like birthday cake sweet!) haha. Thank you for the sample Indigobloom!
I was pretty sure when I went to try this tea that I’d prefer it cold. however, I don’t drink a lot of cold tea mostly because i don’t have a decent set up for it. Maybe next summer!
For a tea called passionately orange, i expected more in the way of orange. Instead it’s a really light tea that has a weird smell upon brewing. I’m wondering if it’s because my sample didn’t have enough of the orange peel in it. I did try to steep it for a little longer after tasting it mid steep. It didn’t help much :(
Ah well..better luck next time! I still apprciate the share!
Sooo uh pretty sure this was indigobloom again but if not, i apologise. This smells a lot like lime…or in the case of my other half – cloves? haha Theres a taste here there that i can’t identify…mostly this tea leaves me full of questions. Why does is taste like this? Does all mate taste like this? lol in all seriousness, leaving a raiting off this one because i’m just not sure what to make of it. I don’t hate it, but i don’t love it. :)
So fundamentally…there is nothing wrong with this tea. But holy crap let’s talk about how sweet it is. My other half had half a sip and said basically ‘so that’s what cake in a blender would taste like." I was able to get through maybe 6 sips before the sugar overload killed me. I’m grateful to indigobloom for the sample to try, though i’m happy to cross this one off my list. If you like vanilla and buttercream…this is a great tea for you! Just not, for me :)
Yeah but sometimes you need the sweet overload, although I’m never buying it again because there are other teas that are better :D
Thanks to Kittena for a sample of this one. Funnily enough this reminds me more of grapes than black currant but it’s still a tasty tea. I likely had my water too hot as well, so not going to blame the tea for that one. I’d probably be willing to give this one another shot when i’m not at work distracted by coworkers while brewing my tea.
Went for this one this morning largely because of indecision. I’m trying to get through any tea that i have that’s in smaller quantities to make room for the few teas that are coming and so that I feel less like i have a monster cupboard on my hands. I needed something with a bit of flavour but wasn’t up for being smacked around too much either. Though as it turns out, i might have needed a bit more smacking around as i not only forgot my buspass at home and had to go all the way back, but then managed to have someone spill coffee on me after going back to the stop…so yes…i went all the way back home. Let me tell you how much fun that is when you’re carrying 5098234098 things. oh well…i vow to have a great rest of the day! :)
Preparation
This was a great start to my morning. I’d have gone for something on the stronger side, but when I opened the cupbaord, this is the tea that called out to me. Last night my other half managed to wake me up 3 times with his snoring, something that rarely happens. It was so bad that i ended up sleeping in the other room after the 3rd time, which got me to sleep but not enough. So i’m tired today…so very tired. And busy…and i have to go to the gym tonight because i promised myself i’d stick with it even though i’m not currently seeing a personal trainer…and it’s the last thing i want to do!!! All i want to do is run home to my comfy bed…full of warm and covers and yes please. but instead i’m at work…drinking this tea, and that’s nearly as good.
Mmmmmm….not much to add here beyond yay for this wonderful tea. Way to make patch day of WOW that much better!
